The Little Girl, herself.

The purpose of the creation of this blog is to provide an insight into my thoughts, musings, dreams, and desires for both myself and my audience. This is my first blog and I am excited to share with those who care to take the time to read whatever becomes of my typings. The intent is not to brag about any of the opportunities that God blesses me with but to rather write down my thoughts and experiences for my own memories and to share them with you. Let us begin:

My name is Kacie. I live in a world that has been gifted to me -- it is nothing that I have earned or deserved. I appreciate everything in my environment which includes: my family (Dad, Mom, Sam, & Grant), my home, 3 horses, a college education, a wonderful church family, and friends that love and support me. I like to work outdoors on the farm, and I like to be active playing games and going on adventures. I enjoy all kinds of music, but mostly country. I do not watch a lot of television but I do like movies! I love animals especially horses, dogs, cats, cows, and goats. I also have a heart for people. What better career then to combine these two loves in the form of Veterinary Medicine - more specifically Equine Vet. Med.
If I were to die today, I would be content in the full life that I have fulfilled. I have been truly blessed by all the experiences that I have lead and that the dreams that I have already fulfilled for example:
  • Get my license, buy a car (May 2006)
  • Travel across the United States (Summer 2008)

  • Buy a horse trailer (2006)

  • Work as a Rhodes Grove Camp counselor and wrangler (2003-2010)
  • Graduate from high school (June 2008)

  • Sponsor a Compassion Child (2007-present)
  • Ride my horse on the beach (Fall 2006)
  • Go to Creation Festival for the entire week (summer 2010)
However, my life has yet to come to an end and thus my ambition and perservereance takes hold and new dreams are formulated, all bigger, better, and more exciting than the next! I think that having dreams is important. It pushes a person to succeed and it provides them with HOPE. Without hope there is no purpose. SO, my large imagination leads me to create new dreams everyday which include (in no specific order):
  • Graduate from college
  • Get married
  • Buy a farmette
  • Raise Scottish Highland ("woolly") cows
  • Live a quiet, peacful life
  • Travel
    • Europe (Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Poland, Spain, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Chile)
    • Visit all 50 U.S. states
      • Watch the sunset on the Pacific Ocean
      • Go to Walt Disney World
    • Visit my Compassion Child (Ecuador)
These are only some dreams that I can think of off the top of my head, there are many more! However, sometimes my dreams conflict and I wonder if this ever happens to anyone else. I feel that I am a multi-faceted person and I like a lot of different things for example: I like to travel yet I always love coming home and staying. I enjoy routine but sometimes I get bored. Also, its hard to travel when you have a farm and animals to take care of. Also, I feel like I have the abilities to do BIG and GREAT things but ultimately I think that I would be happiest settling down and being a stay-at-home-mom with my animals. I'm not sure what other opportunities the Lord will provide for me but I'm sure they will wonderful and better than anything I could ever imagine for myself. So that is my prayer; that I will never be to afraid to dream big and trust my journey to the Lord so that he will be my light, my guide, and that I will be open for all the experiences he chooses to bless me with. I have only began to scratch the surface of my dreams and thoughts at the moment and I hope that I and faithful enough to keep up with this blog :)
Thanks for reading, stay tuned~
